TBG TV: 5 Cryptic Spoiler-Free Thoughts on Tonight's Lost

(1) Wait...wasn't he on the island when Oceanic 815 crashed? What's he doing on the airplane now?

(2) Hey, it's Jay Leno! No, really, it is!

(3) "You can't win, Darth. If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine." That's the theme of this season, right?

(4) Anyone who tries to shoot at the Smoke Monster -- in its "Smoke Monster" form -- deserves the horrible, horrible death that awaits them.

(5) I've accepted the show's convoluted storylines and plot devices, like time-travel, immortality and island polar bears. But, I'll be damned if I'm buying an empty women's restroom at ANY airport, much less LAX.

1) But with the island sunk he never crashed there, so he ended up on the plane.
2) Well now I'm just confused about that one
3) I have two theories on this: yes, do you really think someone that powerful goes down without a fight, puh-lease. And I keep wondering if Fake Locke is the bad guy, wouldn't that be a freaking incredible twist?
4) Don't you think as his bodyguards he might have warned them what they were up against? Though watching the ass kicking smokey dispensed was pretty awesome.
5) I made the same comment! Really? Second most populated city in the country has an empty airport bathroom in the MIDDLE OF THE FREAKING DAY?! C'mon!

I didn't love the episode but I think that it sets the table, I'm intrigued.

(2) = Daniel Roebuck's guest appearance. He played Leno on HBO's infamous "The Late Shift".

And, at the risk of losing what little blog cred I have left, I had no idea he was the actor who portrayed Arzt from Lost's first season.

Oh, and about #3 I meant f Fake Locke WASN'T the bad guy.

Cam, this might be a little after your time but teres a disturbing amount of crossover with the first Mighty Ducks movie

Didn't know he played Leno. I recognized him as Arzt though.

I think Sayid is now possessed by Jacob's spirit. But yes, my head hurts trying to comprehend it all.

1) Shannon stayed in Sydney instead of getting on the plane?

2) Was it just me or did seem like "plane Jack" had some sort of knowledge of these people? Nobody else seems to recognize anyone else from the "past/alternate reality/whatever" but he did.

You know a show is confusing when you can't even phrase questions regarding things that happened without confusing yourself more!

Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse said explicitly that Sayid is not possessed by Jacob last night on Kimmel. I don't know if you're a comic fan but I wonder if Jack is going to end up being like Layla Miller and Wolverine in House of M

Joe: Regarding point 1, they've gone with the "Sound Of Thunder" defense. Meaning the seemingly unrelated nuclear bomb explosion in the past still has an effect on the future. It kinda goes with their whole "people affect each other's lives in unrelated ways" theme.
